Honestly hate the shiny colors, I feel like a 1970's Battlestar Galactica extra that needs a furry hat. But despite hating the shiny color these are my go to for absolutely everything. They have deep pockets, flexible wasteband, they are not skin tight and the bottom cuff sits perfect and can be worn with boots or shoes. I hike, walk the dogs, garden, prune trees, kayak, wear up to the ski hill and use these when I volunteer at the fish hatchery. They are warm, comfortable and do not slip in the back when bending over. They wash well and do get some piling with heavy use. I even started wearing them out to grocery shop etc despite the shiny vibe. They are the prefect pant minus the shiny color. I have bought 3 pairs and this grayish seems the least flashy. How about a matte finish in dark green or purple? If you like the colors you will love the pants.
